Thermal resistance for steel housesUnic Rotarex® proposes steel houses with many thermal efficiency levels. All are cheap solutions and easy to build, using our structure coupled with various materials on the market at this time.

Fire resistance for steel houses

Steel house fire resistanceWe ensure the fire protection by boarding with gypsum boards which are fire-resistant. You can obtain 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, and 180 minutes fire resistance by boarding with fire-resistant Knauf boards.

Seismic resistance or earthquake resistance of steel houses

Seismic resistance for steel housesIn our constructive system, things are very simple. Since Newton, we know that the force is equal to the weight multiplied by the acceleration. Thus the earthquake is an acceleration of the earth on the horizontal direction which if we multiply with the weight (of the building) will result in a destructive force that affects the building.

We also know that a classical house is many times heavier than a steel house. In conclusion, it’s weight multiplied by the same acceleration value will result in a higher destruction force. If we take into account that the steel structure has elasticity, opposite to the classical one, after a high-intensity earthquake, we can consider the classical house as being demolished, in comparison, the steel house will be just a little “crumpled”.

The seismic test done by  Gheorghe Asachi University of Iasi on Unic Rotarex® lightweight steel structure was a great success.

Seismic test done by the San Diego University – California on a six floors steel building which proves the superiority of this building system.

Wind resistance

Wind resistance up to 150km/h in standard price conditions; however, we can design it for higher wind intensities.

According to the law in force, the corrosion resistance must be the same as the standard lifetime, meaning 98 years.
